24/365: On nascent, weakly formed good habits

The entire weekend just flew by, partially due to the flurry of adulting activities brought upon by having collected the keys to my new apartment.

I’m really looking forward to be able to move out and stay in my own space once again. To fully be able to control and dictate how the space is designed such that best habits and routines can be encouraged.

It is interesting that it was in the busyness of the weekend that all the nascent, weakly formed habits of the new year just collapsed – reading, taking solitary walks for introspection and blogging. Thankfully, when I restarted them this morning, there was still a sense of relief, reward and calm – hopefully the necessary serotonin shot to motivate the propagation of such behaviour. I like these “dead spaces” of the day – spaces that I often misuse with random social media scrolling and random social gatherings.
